Hello and Happy 2013!

I cannot express my excitement as we build up to the release of Girl Talk! It has been an incredible and pretty unbelievable journey getting to this point.

With my heart and head in a confused spot at the beginning of 2012, I headed with my girl gang to LA to put my mess and my guts into recordings with the great Tom Blller. I was lucky enough to do this in a beautiful mansion in Echo Park called the Paramour. It was pretty much like a dream and as surreal and ridiculous as you can imagine it would be. 10 months later and it is mixed, mastered, artwork completed and videos shot. My blood, sweat, emotional puke and tears have been thrown into this record, (music is totes the healthiest and friendliest of vices!!) and it’s the most honest and thought out yet somehow thoughtless piece of work I have ever done. I’m so proud of it and am just excited for the release this march!

I have so much to share with you which I cannot wait to start doing and to begin with I have tours coming up! You can order tickets to shows here!
And yes, more dates in other parts of the world will be added as the days go by so have no fear if you feel like I have forgotten about you, I haven’t.
Keep an eye for news of my upcoming work with Plan USA “Because I Am A Girl” and their new campaign “Buck Up!”, my fashion week ventures, a new music video and radio sessions in the next few weeks. woo!
Again thank you for all your support, you continue to help me to do what I love to do and I that is the most amazing feeling. I can’t wait to see you!

Thank you for giving girls like me somebody to believe in by openly speaking about feminism and issues of bullying culture. You’re a true inspiration both in and outside your music. I can’t wait for the new album & to see you playing in London at last! Mad grrrl love xxx

Kate , I’m very happy for you and for Girl Talk! who is coming out soon. It’s so good to see you all happy and doing your own stuff , and not givin’ a single fuck for what ´people think. That’s very inspiring. I really hope you keep those Rock’n’Roll School for girls, givin’ more tips to how start a band and making your own songs. I don’t really have friends who can play music with me so I’m trying to write my own stuff but it never leaves my notebook. I really wish I could know some way to record it and see or to get confident to sing. Those things…But I am very thankful for that video, it just shown me that i don’t need to feel embarrassed if I am not like a fucking Stevie Vai on my guitar. Still, I can possibly one day make a good song.

Four years ago I saw your lovely self tear up the stage at Lilith in Indianapolis and over two years ago you killed at The Vic Theater in Chicago. 2013 is about to be another bad ass show and year for you! Beyond pumped for what is to come and I CANNOT wait for “Girl Talk” to hit state-side. Kate Nash — you are the baddest betch around.

First off, I need to tell you that you are my biggest inspiration. Every one of your songs describes a time or situation in my life and they have kinda became my safe haven. I seen you on your last tour in Newcastle, and I can still remember the night from start to finish. You made it so personal and it is one of my best memories. You are one of the most down to earth woman EVER and you try to appreciate all your fans which is great (you follow me on Twitter!) I’m so excited to see you in Newcastle again and for the 4th March for your new album. Thank you Kate, for being you! x

KATE!! You have absolutely SAVED me in this complete shit time of being a teenage girl. I think you are the absolute bee’s knees and are such an inspiration to me. You are fucking glowingly rad and I don’t even know where I’m going with this but my basic life goal is to be you?? Or at least meet you. I’m not as creepy as I just made myself sound. Okay. Thank you for everything,

Kate — I was divining for something different in a Piccadilly record store years ago when I found your name and Made of Bricks. Not sure what drew me to that, but guess that’s the nature of divining. Been an admirer since, and even indoctrinated my young teen girls — you are their favorite. I get to listen to them singing your songs (I forbid d**khead,, even though one of my personal favs) daily. You’re real, no BS, strong, and heartfelt. I had tix for you in Seattle a couple years ago, but had to miss the show. Hope you make it back to the American West so I can make good. Very excited to discover the new work!

i think we may die of excitement on the day.. but we shall see..
basically though Kate, you’re such a beautiful person and artist and you have changed mine, and so many other people’s lives for the better. I’m so glad I became a fan of you at this age because as someone else said, being a teenage girl is the hardest thing and you’re so inspiring, you make it so much better. Also i have stuck the lovely christmas card you sent on my wall and it will probably be there forever :-)

    Hey Kate!
I really love your music especially the lyrics of you songs. They really tell the truth or nice storys in a very beautiful way. I have seen you already twice live (2008 @ “Haldern pop festival” and 2010 @ “Rock am Ring”). I hope I could see you again so please come to germany! You are such an inspiring person (not only because of your music), I wish you all the best!

Can’t wait for the release of Girl Talk! Still in the process of convincing my parents to let me see a show in Liverpool though, but with exams and nobody else to go with me I’m afraid I’ll have to miss out. But still, I’ll make up for it by making sure I blast Girl Talk extra loud that night. ;)

Here’s hoping for an amazing album! x

Kate, I am crazy-excited for Girl Talk!!! YOU. HAVE. NO. IDEA!!!! I was so impressed by ‘Underestimate the Girl’, and it’s become my anthem. You inspire me every day. I can honestly say that meeting you was an experience that changed my life. I’ve become so much more confident, proud of what I do and what I look like. Your music is a huge influence in my life, and I know that Girl Talk will be out of this world.

Thank you for being such a groovy lady and giving girls everywhere the confidence to be themselves. I love you!!!
